I’m a professor at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Germany.

My current research focus is on post-quantum and high-assurance cryptography.

In September 2023, I finished my PhD at the Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands under the supervision of Peter Schwabe and Steffen Reith. My dissertation is available here.
I hold a masters degree and a diploma in computer science, both obtained from the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden, Germany.

Between October 2023 and October 2024, I was an interim professor at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences.
Before that, I was at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden, Germany.
Before that, I was at the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy, Bochum, Germany.
Before that, I worked at DB Intermodal Services and TFG as Head of Information Technology & Process Management.

I'm part of the small but nice MAYO team and co-submitter of the MAYO signature scheme to the NIST PQC call for additional digital signature schemes.

I’m also proud being part of criptolatino.org. "We aim to help reducing the bridge between Latin America and the international cryptography community."

And although some say I'm part of a pirate crew, that is not true!
